Since the opening of the museum in 1999, the participants in the Artist and Researcher/ Curator in Residence program of the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum have been selected based on recommendations made by art professionals and related institutions across Asia. We are pleased to announce the program's fresh new start by making it open call for the year 2007.

4 artists and 2 researchers/ curators will be selected from 20 countries/ region in Asia. The new program will be placing even more importance on "exchange" with the museum visitors and local community through a creative channel of art.

Number of Participants to be Selected:
4 artists (2 for every term, 2 terms a year)
2 researchers/curators (1 for every term, 2 terms a year)

Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam

Residency Period:
1st Term   May 9 to August 6, 2007
2nd Term   September 12 to December 10, 2007
Applications are Accepted between:
July 2 to August 31, 2006
