"U空间"是一个支持艺术、电影、设计、建筑等当代视觉文化领域的创作的展览、研究和交流机构。作为一个新的当代形态的艺术机构，"U空间"力图将自身发展成博物馆和商业画廊之间的调节机制，为公众了解艺术提供一个新的视角，在公众和文化之间建立一种新的关系。

"U空间"将通过一系列的群展和个展以视觉化的方式展示当代文化的变革及其动力。除了展览以外，相关的活动还包括讨论、讲座、座谈和出版等灵活的形式。通过这些项目和活动，我们将艺术家的个体创造有效地输入到公众的审美意识之中，并呈现出二者的互动和对话。

"U空间"是一个国际性的平台。通过和其他机构的合作，我们将为中国提供更多的国际视觉文化的资讯，并不断提供关于当代中国的视觉和文化信息，从而促进跨国界和跨学科的交流，灵活的反映全球范围内的文化体制的变化。

"U空间"是一个艺术家工作的实验室。通过国际间的艺术家居留项目，我们将邀请不同国家的艺术家来发展他们的观念，完成新的艺术作品。我们希望通过一系列的项目将不同的观念、表达和视觉形式汇集以来构成当代文化的新面貌。

"U空间"是一个独立的不以盈利为目的的展示空间，其资金来源于各种文化和商业的社会机构，同时也包括艺术家和收藏家各种形式的资助。

"U空间"的发起创办人是桦林·布尔思（Waling BOERS）先生（他是柏林非赢利艺术空间BüroFriedrich的负责人）和独立批评家、策划人皮力先生。

UniversalStudios-beijing is a new venue created in Beijing to support exhibitions, research and communication related to contemporary visual arts, films, design, architecture and other aspects of visual culture in Beijing.

As an independent organization, UniversalStudios-beijing is positioned as a mediator between an infrastructure of public institutions, such as museums, and an increasingly number of commercial galleries. Moreover, UniversalStudios-beijing wishes to establish new relationships between contemporary culture and the public, in order to stimulate and innovate the artistic practice. At the same time, UniversalStudios-beijing explores the dynamic in China's contemporary culture.

Through a series of group and solo exhibitions, UniversalStudios-beijing ensures that changes in culture are visible. In addition, UniversalStudios-beijing's programming includes symposiums, lectures, discussions and book presentations to document and reflect on those changes.

UniversalStudios-beijing is also an artists' laboratory. Artists from different countries and disciplines will be invited to our international residence programs. This program will encourage the realization of new aesthetic productions by blending differing cultures, ideas, and mediums.
As an independent venue, UniversalStudios-beijing is financed by a combination of public and private sources.
